Description

Tele2 Nederland B.V., operating as Tele2 in the Netherlands, is a prominent mobile network operator. Identified by its Mobile Country Code (MCC) of 204 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) of 02, Tele2 provides a range of telecommunications services to both individual consumers and businesses across the country. While initially starting as a challenger brand focused on simplicity and affordability, Tele2 has grown into a significant player in the Dutch mobile market, becoming known, and often competing directly with KPN and VodafoneZiggo.

Within the Netherlands, a country at the heart of Europe with advanced telecommunications infrastructure, Tele2 distinguishes itself through its network offerings and customer-centric approach. Tele2 was originally founded in Sweden, but the Dutch equivalent quickly became a dominant mobile network in the Netherlands, and it offered competitive packages that included data, voice, and SMS services. It competed aggressively on price, often attracting customers looking for budget-friendly options. Eventually Tele2 was acquired by T-Mobile Netherlands in late 2018.
