KPN Mobile The Netherlands B.V., operating under the brand "Telfort" at times, is a prominent mobile network operator in the Netherlands. As identified by its Mobile Country Code (MCC) of 204 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) of 12, KPN (and Telfort when applicable) provides a wide range of telecommunications services to consumers and businesses across the country. The Netherlands, located in Europe, boasts a highly competitive mobile market, and KPN consistently ranks among the top providers, vying for market share with Vodafone Netherlands and T-Mobile Netherlands. KPN's network infrastructure covers a significant portion of the Dutch landscape, offering 4G and increasingly 5G connectivity to a large population.

KPN's history is deeply intertwined with the development of telecommunications in the Netherlands. Originally a state-owned postal and telegraph company (PTT), it gradually transitioned into a privatized entity, embracing the growth of mobile communication technologies. Often, discussions around Dutch mobile connectivity standards involve comparing KPN's coverage and pricing with its competitors. Furthermore, Telfort, while sometimes marketed as a separate brand, often operated under the KPN umbrella for certain periods, and was considered their value or "no-frills" alternative, demonstrating KPN's strategy to cater to diverse segments of the Dutch consumer market, until it was fully absorbed by KPN. Understanding the MCC and MNC codes, like 204 12 for KPN, is crucial for analyzing mobile network deployment and roaming agreements within the Netherlands and across Europe.
