Description

The Ministerie van Defensie (Ministry of Defence) mobile network in the Netherlands operates under Mobile Country Code (MCC) 204 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 22. This dedicated network provides secure and reliable communication infrastructure primarily for the Dutch armed forces and related governmental agencies. Unlike commercial operators like KPN, Vodafone or T-Mobile Netherlands, the Ministerie van Defensie's network prioritizes security and resilience over widespread public access. It plays a crucial role in coordinating defense operations and ensuring seamless communication channels within the Netherlands and potentially abroad, where Dutch forces are deployed.
The function of MCC 204 and MNC 22 is to uniquely identify this network within the global mobile landscape. While detailed specifications regarding its technology and coverage area are generally not publicly available due to security concerns, the Ministerie van Defensie network is likely to utilize specialized equipment and protocols to safeguard sensitive information. Compared to commercial networks which are focused on consumer services. The Ministry of Defence network is based on protecting secure communications. This network is absolutely critical for national security within the Netherlands, which is a vital member of the European Union. The Ministry of Defence network makes use of Netherlands cellular infrastructure, where appropriate.
