Description

Ericsson NV, operating in Belgium, Europe, is a well-established mobile network provider identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 206, representing Belgium, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 33. This combination uniquely identifies Ericsson NV within the global network landscape. While not directly a mobile operator offering services to consumers, Ericsson NV plays a crucial role in building and maintaining mobile network infrastructure in Belgium. They partner with established operators, such as Proximus, Telenet, and Orange Belgium, to deliver reliable 4G and increasingly 5G connectivity to Belgian citizens and businesses. Ericsson's presence helps these operators compete by offering advanced technology and wider network coverage across the country.

Unlike a direct consumer-facing mobile provider, Ericsson NV focuses on the back-end operations, providing the equipment, software, and expertise needed to run a modern mobile network. This might include installing base stations, optimizing network performance, and deploying new technologies like 5G. Given Belgium's strategic location in Europe and its relatively high population density, high-quality mobile connectivity is paramount. Ericsson's contributions, as identified by its MCC/MNC, are thus an essential element of Belgium's digital infrastructure and its ability to compete in the European market. Their indirect impact on the consumer experience through their partnerships with the consumer operators is considerable.
