Voxbone Mobile (France) - An Overview

Voxbone Mobile, operating in France under Mobile Country Code (MCC) 208 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 18, represents a unique approach to mobile connectivity within Europe. Unlike traditional mobile network operators (MNOs) that own and manage extensive infrastructure, Voxbone (now Bandwidth.com) historically focused on providing access to global phone numbers and communication services via the internet. While not a direct competitor to major French networks like Orange France (MCC 208, MNC 01), SFR (MCC 208, MNC 10), or Bouygues Telecom (MCC 208, MNC 20), the 'Voxbone Mobile' presence likely pertains to specific data or roaming agreements. It’s probable that the assigned MCC/MNC is used for testing, specialized applications, or niche communication services requiring a distinct network identifier within the French mobile ecosystem. This allows international enterprises testing services in France, or companies deploying specific roaming solutions, to be identified on the network.

As a provider acquired by Bandwidth.com, Voxbone’s core competency lies in enabling global communications. Their presence represented by MCC 208 and MNC 18 is likely tied to its legacy services and ongoing agreements within France. The purpose of this specific MCC/MNC combination may be to support international services that utilise roaming agreements or data services for the purposes of number verification, short messaging or in-country applications. The network identifier serves as an important marker, allowing the company to be recognized and managed within the broader French mobile network landscape which also consists of other network identifiers used by virtual networks (MVNO). Further community input is encouraged to clarify the specific services and use cases associated with MCC 208 MNC 18 under the 'Voxbone Mobile' name in France and across Europe.
