Description

Airbus Defence and Space SAS operates a mobile network in France under the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 208 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 28. Unlike consumer-facing networks like Orange France (MCC 208, MNC 01) or SFR (MCC 208, MNC 10), Airbus Defence and Space's network primarily caters to specialized communication needs, often involving secure and mission-critical applications. Think secure government communications, defense operations, or perhaps even specialized industrial IoT deployments. Information on the specific technologies used and the geographic coverage of this network are less publicly available compared to major cellular operators, due to the sensitive nature of much of its use.

While detailed information might be limited, understanding that France utilizes MCC 208 for all its mobile networks allows us to differentiate Airbus Defence and Space's use. It shares the same MCC as other big players, but the MNC 28 identifies it specifically. This highlights the diverse range of mobile network operators, from those providing widespread public service to those offering highly specialized, often private, networks. Further research into relevant governmental or industry publications can provide more insight into the characteristics and precise applications of the Airbus Defence and Space SAS network within France and broader European initiatives.
