Description

Fastweb S.p.A., operating in Italy, is a significant player in the Italian telecommunications market, offering a range of services from fixed-line broadband to mobile network connectivity. Identified by its Mobile Country Code (MCC) of 222, signifying its Italian origin, and Mobile Network Code (MNC) of 08, Fastweb provides mobile services alongside established networks like TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile) and Vodafone Italia. While initially focusing on fiber-optic broadband, Fastweb has expanded its offerings to compete directly in the mobile sector, providing nationwide coverage using, in part, other networks infrastructure sharing agreements.

Fastweb's entry into the Italian mobile market has brought increased competition and innovation, appealing to consumers seeking alternatives to the more established providers. As an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) for many years, the recent move to a more established network position has allowed it to be a front runner within the 5G technology space. The company's focuses on high-speed data and customer-centric approaches aim to capture a significant share of the Italian mobile landscape, ultimately contributing to the ongoing evolution of communication technology across Europe. Its parent company is Swisscom, so it maintains strong links with businesses across the continent.
