Description

Wind Tre, operating in Italy, stands as a significant mobile network provider. Its presence is deeply woven into the Italian telecommunications landscape, part of a dynamic market that also includes Vodafone Italy and TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile). Identified internationally with Mobile Country Code (MCC) 222 - a code that uniquely identifies Italy - and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 37, Wind Tre serves a substantial portion of the Italian population. The network is known for its comprehensive coverage across Italy, including major urban centers and more remote regions.

Established through the merger of Wind and Tre Italia, Wind Tre brought together the strengths of two pre-existing networks to offer enhanced services and broader reach. The merger aimed to create a more competitive player in the Italian market, rivalling the long-established presence of TIM and the global reach of Vodafone. Wind Tre offers a variety of plans, including prepaid and contract options, catering to a wide range of consumer needs from basic communication to high-speed mobile data access. As a major player in the European mobile market, Wind Tre continuously invests in improving its infrastructure and expanding its 4G/5G network capabilities across Italy.
