Description

SMS Italia S.r.l., operating under the name SMS Italia, is a mobile network operator in Italy. As a key player in the Italian telecommunications landscape, SMS Italia provides mobile network services within the country. Identified by its Mobile Country Code (MCC) of 222 – signifying Italy – and Mobile Network Code (MNC) of 39, SMS Italia ensures unique network identification for mobile devices connecting to its infrastructure. While Italy's mobile market is dominated by larger operators like TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile), Vodafone Italy, and Wind Tre, SMS Italia contributes to the overall connectivity and competition within the market. As a European nation, Italy adheres to European Union regulations concerning telecommunications, influencing how SMS Italia operates and delivers its services.

SMS Italia's presence expands the range of mobile network options available to consumers and businesses in Italy. The MCC and MNC codes are vital for mobile devices to correctly identify and connect to the intended network when roaming or registering on the Italian mobile infrastructure. While specific details about SMS Italia's service offerings and subscriber base might require further research, their role contributes to the density and diversity of mobile network providers to the end user of mobile services within Italy, and helps provide options to smaller MVNO's who aren't looking to utilise the larger and more well known networks.
