Description

Comfone AG, operating within Switzerland, is a significant player in the GSM mobile network landscape across Europe. Identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 228, which designates Switzerland, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 05, Comfone provides essential services connecting mobile operators and enabling international roaming capabilities. It's one of several mobile networks operating within Switzerland, a country known for its advanced telecommunications infrastructure and high standards of connectivity.

While Swisscom, Sunrise, and Salt are the major networks known to the general public in Switzerland, Comfone plays a different, but vital role in enabling connectivity. Their services are primarily focused on facilitating seamless roaming experiences for mobile users traveling internationally. Comfone, while typically not directly offering consumer-facing mobile plans like Swisscom or Sunrise, allows them to offer roaming to different parts of the world. This behind-the-scenes operation is crucial for maintaining global communication networks effectively. Therefore, understanding that in Switzerland these networks operate is important, and the MNC and MCC make it possible for identification, and management of these networks throughout Europe.
