Description

Comfone AG, operating in Switzerland (MCC 228), is identified by its Mobile Network Code (MNC) of 09. As a key player in the Swiss mobile landscape, Comfone specializes in international mobile roaming services and solutions, facilitating connectivity for mobile network operators globally. While Switzerland boasts a highly competitive mobile market with established providers like Swisscom (MCC 228, MNC 01) and Sunrise UPC (MCC 228, MNC 02), Comfone distinguishes itself through its focus on behind-the-scenes infrastructure and enabling seamless roaming experiences for users traveling in and out of Switzerland and across Europe.

Switzerland, strategically located in the heart of Europe, relies on robust mobile networks for both domestic and international communication. Comfone's contribution to this infrastructure is significant. Unlike consumer-facing mobile operators, Comfone works directly with other operators worldwide, ensuring that their subscribers can connect to Swiss networks upon arrival and vice versa. They facilitate the complex signalling and data transfer required for roaming, playing a critical role in maintaining consistent mobile service for international travelers within Europe and beyond. More information about local Swiss mobile networks and their MCC/MNC assignments is readily available for those wishing to delve deeper into the region's telecommunications structure.
