Description

Swisscom Broadcast AG, operating in Switzerland, is a notable mobile network provider identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 228 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 11. As part of the Swisscom group, the network leverages robust infrastructure to deliver a range of communication services across Europe. Switzerland, known for its advanced technological landscape and high mobile penetration, makes Swisscom Broadcast AG a key player in this competitive market. Offering comprehensive coverage, including both urban centers and more remote Alpine regions, Swisscom Broadcast AG seeks to provide reliable connectivity to its users - it is considered (albeit unofficially) to be a testing network for technologies that may be rolled out to Swisscom at a later date.

While the Swiss mobile market is largely dominated by Swisscom, Sunrise UPC, and Salt Mobile, Swisscom Broadcast AG carves a specific niche, often focusing on specialized or niche applications of network technology rather than broad-consumer market share in the typical phone/data sphere. Its MCC and MNC designation sets it apart within network registries, signifying its operational footprint within Switzerland's telecommunications infrastructure. This emphasis on targeted services allows the network to contribute uniquely to the country's ever-evolving digital ecosystem, and keep the main Swisscom network ready to go for the future.
