Description

Lycamobile Switzerland, operating under Lycamobile AG, provides mobile network services across the country. Utilizing Mobile Country Code (MCC) 228, which identifies Switzerland, and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 54, Lycamobile offers an alternative for consumers seeking prepaid and international calling options. As a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), Lycamobile leverages existing network infrastructure to deliver its services. Switzerland, located in the heart of Europe, boasts a competitive telecommunications landscape with established players, and Lycamobile seeks to carve its niche through targeted pricing plans and a focus on serving international communities within Switzerland.

Lycamobile's business model in Switzerland, similar to its operations in other European countries, centers around accessible prepaid plans and cost-effective international calls. While Swisscom, Sunrise, and Salt dominate the Swiss mobile market with extensive network coverage, Lycamobile offers a value proposition particularly attractive to customers who frequently call internationally. The operator competes by providing lower rates to specific countries and often bundles data and minutes at competitive price points. Users can easily identify the Lycamobile network using the MCC/MNC combination 228 54 when manually configuring their mobile devices or troubleshooting connectivity issues.
