Description

HI3G Access AB (3 Sweden), operating under the brand "3," is a prominent mobile network operator in Sweden. This provider holds the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 2, under the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 240, which identifies Sweden within the global mobile network infrastructure. 3 Sweden has significantly shaped the Swedish telecommunications landscape since its launch, challenging established players like Telia and Tele2, often being recognised as one of the first to push the boundaries of mobile data accessibility and competitive pricing.

3 Sweden (HI3G Access AB) distinguishes itself through its focus on data-centric services and a modern network infrastructure. They were early adopters of 3G and 4G technologies, and continue to invest in 5G deployment across Sweden. Unlike some of its competitors who initially focused on voice services, 3 Sweden heavily promoted data plans, attracting a younger demographic and driving the adoption of mobile internet among the general population. The operator has played a crucial role in increasing mobile broadband penetration throughout the country, particularly in urban centers and increasingly in rural areas also. Its MCC 240 and MNC 2 uniquely identify it when roaming or accessing network information on mobile devices.
