Description

Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, operating in Sweden (MCC 240), a country in Europe, utilizes the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 60 within its infrastructure. While Ericsson is globally recognized for its telecommunications equipment manufacturing and network infrastructure development, its presence as a direct mobile network operator differs from competitors like Telia or Tele2 in Sweden. Primarily, Ericsson focuses on providing the backbone and technologies that other mobile operators rely upon, playing a pivotal, supporting role rather than a direct retail-facing service.

Given its fundamental role in network infrastructure, Ericsson's impact on Swedish mobile connectivity is significant. Although not a subscriber-facing mobile operator, Ericsson's innovations and technologies contribute to the capabilities and performance of other Swedish networks. This indirect impact is essential for driving advancements in areas like 5G deployment and IoT connectivity across Sweden, influencing both urban and rural areas within the European nation. Notably, Ericsson's headquarters are also located in Sweden, further embedding its significant role in the country's technological landscape.
