Description

ICE Norge AS, operating under the "ice" brand, is a Norwegian mobile network operator providing 4G and 5G services across Norway. Utilizing the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 242, which identifies Norway, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 06, ice distinguishes itself within the Norwegian telecommunications landscape. While Telenor and Telia dominate the market, ice has carved a niche by focusing on delivering affordable data plans and expanding network coverage, particularly in areas underserved by its larger competitors. As Norway is part of Europe, it aligns with European telecommunications standards and regulations.

Ice's strategy has involved strategic infrastructure investments to enhance coverage, including base stations in rural areas and along the Norwegian coastline. Their efforts aim to provide an alternative to the established networks, often appealing to users seeking value-driven mobile internet solutions. While coverage may not be as extensive as Telenor's or Telia's, ice continuously works to improve its infrastructure and service offerings, contributing to increased competition and driving down data prices for consumers throughout Norway. The ongoing competitive environment benefits Norwegian consumers.
