Description

Ålands Telekommunikation Ab (Ålcom), serving the Åland Islands region of Finland, operates as a key mobile network provider in this autonomous archipelago. Situated in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Finland, Åland’s unique geographical and political landscape necessitates tailored telecommunications solutions, which Ålcom delivers. Characterized by its Mobile Country Code (MCC) of 244 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) of 14, Ålcom distinguishes itself within the Finnish mobile network ecosystem. While mainland Finland's mobile market is dominated by larger operators like Elisa, DNA, and Telia, Ålcom plays a vital role in connecting the Åland Islands.

Ålcom’s presence ensures that Åland residents and visitors benefit from reliable mobile communication services, enabling everything from personal communication to supporting the island's vital maritime industries and tourism sector. Understanding the MCC 244 and MNC 14 assignments is crucial for network configuration and international roaming agreements, ensuring seamless connectivity for mobile users traveling to and from the Åland Islands. Ålcom’s commitment to the region extends beyond just mobile services, as they also provide fixed-line telephony, internet, and television services, solidifying their position as a comprehensive telecommunications provider for the Åland community.
