Description

Liikennevirasto, operating in Finland, Europe, is a mobile network identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 244 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 17. In the landscape of Finnish mobile telecommunications, where major players like Elisa, DNA, and Telia dominate, Liikennevirasto occupies a specific niche, traditionally focusing on infrastructure and services related to transportation, and more specifically public transportation.

While the larger Finnish operators provide comprehensive consumer mobile services including voice, data, and SMS, Liikennevirasto's network often supports critical communications for transportation management systems. This might include applications like traffic monitoring, signaling, and emergency services related to transport. Its usage of MCC 244 and MNC 17 allows devices, especially within the transportation sector, to correctly identify and connect to the network for these essential services. Understanding the specific role of networks like Liikennevirasto is valuable in gaining a full understanding of the mobile environment across Finland.
