Description

Fortum Power and Heat Oy, operating in Finland, represents a notable mobile network within Europe, identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 244, signifying its Finnish origin, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 25. While not a traditional mobile operator directly serving consumers like Elisa or Telia Finland, Fortum Power and Heat Oy likely utilizes this network for specific operational purposes, such as smart grid management, remote monitoring of energy infrastructure, or internal communications related to power distribution and heating services. This deployment reflects a growing trend of utility companies leveraging mobile network technology to enhance efficiency, reliability, and responsiveness in their core services.

In contrast to widespread consumer-facing networks, Fortum Power and Heat Oy's mobile network emphasizes machine-to-machine (M2M) communication and IoT (Internet of Things) applications. Given Finland's advanced technological landscape and commitment to smart city initiatives, the use of a dedicated mobile network with MCC 244 and MNC 25 underscores Fortum's investment in leveraging connectivity for optimizing energy production, distribution, and consumption. This network enables real-time data collection and control, empowering Fortum to proactively manage its infrastructure, minimize downtime, and contribute to a more sustainable energy ecosystem throughout Finland.
