Description

Voxbone SA (Voxbone), operating in Finland under Mobile Network Code (MNC) 32 and Mobile Country Code (MCC) 244, occupies a unique position in the Finnish telecommunications landscape. Unlike Elisa, DNA, or Telia Finland, who provide traditional mobile services, Voxbone SA focuses on providing virtual phone numbers and communication services via internet protocol. Their services cater primarily to businesses requiring international call termination, SMS capabilities, and global reach through programmable telecoms. Often, the use case is integrating into cloud communications platforms and contact centres globally. While the other major Finnish mobile networks prioritize cellular connectivity for consumers and businesses domestically, Voxbone offers an alternative approach, leveraging IP infrastructure to deliver communication solutions internationally.

Finland, a technologically advanced nation in Europe, has a highly competitive mobile market. With widespread 4G and rapidly expanding 5G coverage, traditional mobile network operators (MNOs) prioritize speed and reliability for consumers. Voxbone SA, while not directly competing in this space, complements the Finnish telecommunications ecosystem by allowing international companies to establish a virtual local presence, without the need for physical infrastructure within Finland. This is achieved through offering local telephone numbers for Finnish use, using MCC 244 and MNC 32 to identify their traffic on networks. These capabilities of Voxbone helps facilitate cross-border communication needs, for example, allowing Finnish businesses better access to communicate and do business internationally.
