Description

DB Netz AG, operating in Germany, Europe, is a crucial provider of mobile network services for railway operations and infrastructure. Identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 262 representing Germany, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 10, DB Netz AG's network facilitates critical communication for train control, signaling, and operational management across the extensive German railway system. Unlike mobile networks like Deutsche Telekom (MCC 262, MNC 01) or Vodafone Germany (MCC 262, MNC 02) that primarily serve consumer and commercial markets, DB Netz AG focuses on specialized communications tailored for the railway sector, contributing to the safety and efficiency of train services throughout the country.

While not a traditional public mobile network, DB Netz AG's infrastructure plays a vital, often unseen, role in the smooth running of one of Europe's busiest and most efficient railway networks. The specific technologies employed, and network architecture used are highly customized to meet the unique demands of railway operations, prioritizing reliability, security, and real-time communication capabilities. The company is a leading provider in Germany for this sector, with continual investment in the latest mobile technologies, to ensure that trains run safely and reliably, and often working with other operators to improve their own service as a whole, for the benefit of individuals.
