Description

Nokia, operating in Germany under Mobile Country Code (MCC) 262 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 73, is a vital part of Europe's telecommunications landscape. While best known for its historic mobile phone manufacturing, in Germany, Nokia functions as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) utilizing the infrastructure of other established German networks to deliver service. This approach allows Nokia to focus on providing tailored solutions, often aimed at enterprise or specific niche markets, without the significant investment required for building and maintaining a full network infrastructure. This distinguishes them from major German operators like Deutsche Telekom (D1 network), Vodafone (D2 network), and Telefónica Germany (O2 network).

Although not directly competing with the 'big three' in Germany for general consumer clientele with widespread retail presence, Nokia's presence remains strategically important. Its services are often geared towards machine-to-machine (M2M) communication, IoT (Internet of Things) deployments, and private network solutions for industries and businesses. This expertise leverages Nokia's global reputation for network innovation and solutions that cater to the evolving needs of a data-driven economy. Consequently, though a less visible operator to the average German mobile user, Nokia's network code 262-73 signifies a critical infrastructure partner for numerous businesses and technological developments within Germany.
