Description

Karabakh Telecom, operating in Armenia under Mobile Country Code (MCC) 283 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 04, has historically played a significant role in providing telecommunications services within the region of Nagorno-Karabakh. While geographically located in Europe, Armenia's mobile network landscape has seen evolving competition. Karabakh Telecom, from observations, had been known for its focus on offering voice and data services tailored to the specific needs of its user base, similar to how other Armenian mobile operators like Vivacell MTS and Ucom address their respective customer segments. The network's presence, as a mobile provider, contributed to the overall connectivity infrastructure of the area, which faced the impact of geo-political realities and development challenges.

The assignment of MCC 283 and MNC 04 officially marks Karabakh Telecom's identification within the global mobile network ecosystem. Understanding these codes is crucial for travelers and devices that rely on network selection for roaming and connectivity. While specific details about Karabakh Telecom’s network technology (e.g., 2G, 3G, or 4G/LTE deployment) may require further updates due to the rapidly changing landscape, the historical existence and operation of this network as 'Karabakh Telecom' within the Armenian telecommunications sector remains a noteworthy aspect within the broader context of European mobile communications. Its distinct place, within European telecommunications, highlights the complexities around the provision of reliable mobile services within a shifting geopolitical landscape.
