Description

EMnify GmbH is a mobile network operator in Liechtenstein, Europe, identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 295 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 09. This combination uniquely designates EMnify within the global cellular network infrastructure. While Liechtenstein itself is a small nation geographically, located in the alpine region between Switzerland and Austria, its telecommunications landscape is served by several key players. EMnify distinguishes itself by offering specialized services, often geared towards IoT (Internet of Things) and M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communications, which requires robust and reliable connectivity for devices operating across borders, this is compared to traditional mobile networks that are geared towards human communication.

Compared to Swisscom Liechtenstein, and Salt Liechtenstein which also operate within the country, EMnify’s focus tends to be more internationally geared and focuses on cross-border and roaming capabilities, facilitating seamless connectivity for devices operating across multiple networks. The MCC 295, tied to Liechtenstein, allows network devices to appropriately attach to the correct radio infrastructure and therefore connect to the EMnify network, and the MNC of 09 then identifies the individual provider. This code is essential for proper billing and network management within the cellular telecom infrastructure. EMnify’s solutions support wide-ranging deployments, including those in smart cities, logistics, and other industrial applications, leveraging the compact size and the central European location of Liechtenstein as a base for its European network operations.
