Description

Shaw Communications, operating as Shaw Telecom in Canada, provides mobile network services under the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 302 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 740. As a key player in North America & Caribbean communications market, Shaw Telecom aimed to establish a strong presence within Canada's competitive telecommunications landscape. While primarily known for cable television and internet services, Shaw's entry into the mobile sector marked a significant expansion of its offerings, challenging established national carriers like Bell, Rogers, and Telus.

Shaw's mobile network strategy often involved leveraging its existing infrastructure and a customer-centric approach to attract subscribers. Using MCC 302 and MNC 740, they were able to build a network identity recognized by mobile devices across the country. Although Shaw Communications has since been acquired, the lasting impact they have had on the telecommunications sector helped to shape competition, and ultimately influenced consumer choice within the broader Canadian mobile market. How their spectrum is used and services are now delivered will continue to evolve within the changing market dynamics.
