Description

Iowa Wireless Services, operating as iWireless, was a regional mobile network provider in the United States, specifically serving the state of Iowa. iWireless utilized the GSM network technology, distinguishing it from some of the larger nationwide CDMA carriers. Its operational footprint focused primarily on providing coverage within Iowa, making it a key player in the state's mobile communication landscape. It utilized the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 310, which identifies the United States, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 770.

iWireless offered a range of services, including voice, text, and data plans, catering to both individual consumers and business customers in Iowa. Being smaller than national giants like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, iWireless distinguished itself with a focus on regional customer service and specific plans tailored to the needs of Iowans. While iWireless has been consolidated into other networks over time, its historical presence represents an important part of Iowa's mobile communication history and the broader landscape of mobile network operators in North America & Caribbean. The 310-770 MCC/MNC combination served as its unique identifier within the GSM network infrastructure.
