This provides extensive 4G LTE and 5G coverage across North America & Caribbean giving them a reach that rivals the bigger named brands, and offering competitive prepaid plans. Recognized under Mobile Country Code (MCC) 311, which identifies the United States, and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 660, Metro by T-Mobile delivers services often at lower price points than T-Mobile directly, targeting budget-conscious consumers. Established initially as General Wireless Operations, Inc., and then later as MetroPCS, the company was acquired by T-Mobile USA in 2013. This acquisition allowed T-Mobile to expand its reach into the prepaid market significantly. Metro by T-Mobile distinguishes itself through its focus on no-contract plans, allowing customers flexibility without long-term commitments.
