Recognized under Mobile Country Code (MCC) 311, which identifies the United States, and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 660, Metro by T-Mobile delivers services often at lower price points than T-Mobile directly, targeting budget-conscious consumers. Established initially as General Wireless Operations, Inc., and then later as MetroPCS, the company was acquired by T-Mobile USA in 2013. This acquisition allowed T-Mobile to expand its reach into the prepaid market significantly. Metro by T-Mobile distinguishes itself through its focus on no-contract plans, allowing customers flexibility without long-term commitments.
