Description

American Samoa Telecommunications Authority (ASTCA), operating in American Samoa, Oceania, is the primary telecommunications provider for the U.S. territory. As the only provider offering comprehensive mobile services across the islands, ASTCA plays a vital role in connecting the population. Designated with Mobile Country Code (MCC) 311 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 780, ASTCA strives to deliver reliable cellular and broadband services, however due to the remote location and challenging terrain, deployment and maintenance can present unique hurdles. Compared to larger, more developed nations, ASTCA faces limitations in infrastructure investment and technological advancements, which is common for island nations.

ASTCA offers a range of services, including 4G LTE mobile services in American Samoa, connecting people with the outside world. Continuous efforts focus on expanding coverage and improving network infrastructure to address the growing demand for data and connectivity. While other smaller reseller mobile networks may operate using ASTCAs infrastructure, ASTCA stands as the principal network operator with its own assigned MCC and MNC. The regulatory framework and ongoing investment continue to be essential, for improving the communication landscape, and meeting the evolving needs of residents and businesses within American Samoa.
