Description

Artemis Networks LLC, operating in the United States (North America & Caribbean), holds a unique position in the mobile network landscape. Identified by Mobile Country Code (MCC) 312 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 750, Artemis Networks differentiates itself with its innovative pCell technology. Unlike traditional cellular networks such as Verizon (MCC 310, MNC 004, 012) or AT&T (MCC 310, MNC 410), which rely on dividing coverage into cells, pCell aims to create a 'personal cell' for each device, theoretically improving spectral efficiency and capacity. Although specifics of their current operational footprint and subscriber base are sometimes less publicly readily available compared to the larger national carriers, Artemis garnered attention for its potential to alleviate network congestion in dense urban environments.

While specific deployment details remain somewhat fragmented across publicly available sources, industry reports and past field trials have highlighted Artemis' focus on deploying pCell technology in specific, targeted areas. This contrasts with the nationwide coverage strategies of major players, suggesting a more specialized or niche deployment model. The use of MCC and MNC codes allows devices to identify and connect to the Artemis network when available. As the mobile landscape evolves, particularly with the advent of 5G and beyond, the development and implementation of technologies like pCell by entities like Artemis Networks contribute to the ongoing innovation and diversification within the United States' mobile telecommunications infrastructure. It remains an important topic for those interested in alternative network architectures and the potential for localized connectivity solutions.
