Description

Vivint Wireless, Inc. operates as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) in the United States, utilizing the mobile network infrastructure of larger carriers. Focusing on home security and automation solutions, Vivint Wireless provides cellular connectivity primarily to enable its smart home systems to communicate, ensuring reliable access even without a traditional broadband connection. The network is identified by Mobile Country Code (MCC) 313, specific to the United States, and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 90. This code combination allows mobile devices and networks to correctly identify and connect to the Vivint Wireless service.

While major carriers like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile offer widespread coverage and varying data plans directly to consumers across North America & Caribbean including the United States, Vivint Wireless carves a niche by bundling cellular connectivity with comprehensive security packages. The advantage lies in the reliability offered during power outages or broadband disruptions, ensuring uninterrupted security monitoring and smart home functionality. It's important for consumers to understand that as an MVNO, Vivint Wireless' coverage footprint is contingent on the agreement it has with its host network provider, which may differ from the direct coverage of the major carrier itself.
