Description

Dish Network, operating in the United States (North America & Caribbean), is a relatively new entrant in the mobile network market, aiming to disrupt the established order. With Mobile Country Code (MCC) 313 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 360, Dish is building out its 5G network infrastructure across the country. They are seeking to provide an alternative to the big three – Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile – promising competitive pricing and innovative services. Their strategy involves leveraging open RAN technology and focusing on underserved areas, marking a significant shift in the US mobile landscape.

Dish's journey hasn't been without its challenges, as they've navigated the complexities of spectrum acquisition, infrastructure deployment, and subscriber acquisition. Unlike established players with legacy 4G networks, Dish is primarily focused on 5G, which potentially gives them an advantage in future-proofing their network. However, this also requires significant investment and time to build out coverage comparable to existing networks. It remains to be seen how Dish will ultimately fare against the competition, but their commitment to 5G and their unique approach differentiate them in the competitive US mobile market. Their success will depend on their ability to deliver on their promises of performance, coverage, and value to consumers across the United States.
