Description

Kerala IDEA, operating in India under the Asia & Middle East region, is a prominent mobile network identified by its Mobile Country Code (MCC) of 404 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) of 19. A vital player in Kerala's telecommunications landscape, IDEA, now merged with Vodafone to form Vodafone Idea (Vi), once stood as a major competitor, particularly against networks like Airtel and Jio. Serving millions of subscribers, IDEA offered a range of services including 2G, 3G, and 4G connectivity, striving to bridge the digital divide in both urban and rural areas of Kerala. Its presence contributed significantly to the state's mobile penetration, reflecting India's broader growth in the telecom sector.

While now officially operating as Vodafone Idea (Vi), remnants of the IDEA brand may still be recognized across Kerala. Historically, IDEA was known for its competitive pricing, extensive network coverage within the state, and a strong focus on customer service. The merger with Vodafone aimed to synergize resources and expand network capabilities to better serve a growing customer base, enabling them to compete more effectively in the evolving Indian telecom market. Despite these changes, the legacy of Kerala IDEA, identified by its MCC and MNC, underlines its contribution to the widespread adoption of mobile technology in the region.
