Description

Orissa TATA DOCOMO, operating in India, was a mobile network utilizing the MCC (Mobile Country Code) 405 – the identifying code for India – and the MNC (Mobile Network Code) 41. As part of the TATA DOCOMO network, it provided mobile services to the Orissa region, contributing to the broader telecommunications landscape of India within the Asia & Middle East region. Its presence played a role in connecting communities and facilitating communication across the state. TATA DOCOMO was known for its innovative approach to pricing and services during its operation, often competing with other major players like Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and Reliance Jio.

While TATA DOCOMO eventually ceased operations and merged some of its business with other companies, its legacy remains a part of India's mobile network evolution. The allocated MCC and MNC numbers serve as historical identifiers, highlighting the past network's role in providing connectivity. Other mobile networks within India continue to utilize the MCC 405 with different MNCs to deliver various mobile services across the diverse regions of the country. The telecommunications market in India is highly competitive, and seeing these historical network codes reminds of the shifting landscape and changes to major companies.
