4G
PTCL EVO and CharJi form the mobile broadband arm of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), providing 3G and 4G services respectively across Pakistan. Operating as a key player in Pakistan's telecommunications landscape, PTCL has long been a significant provider of fixed-line services, and with EVO and CharJi, they've expanded offering data connectivity. With a network operating across a nation of over 230 million people, in a competitive market with other large networks, such as Jazz, Telenor and Zong, PTCL have strived to deliver solutions to bridge the digital divide across the diverse regions of the country. Utilizing the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 410, which identifies Pakistan, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 02, PTCL's 3G EVO and CharJi 4G networks provide mobile data connectivity options. While 3G EVO offered a step up from earlier dial-up and DSL internet options, CharJi 4G aimed to deliver faster speeds to compete with other 4G offerings in urban centers and main transport routes. While the landscape is changing, and 5G begins to emerge, these networks have remained a core part of the telecommunications infrastructure for many in Pakistan, especially in areas where fixed broadband penetration is lower.
