Korek Telecom, operating under the MCC 418 and MNC 40, is a prominent mobile network operator in Iraq, a nation situated in the Asia & Middle East region. Korek plays a significant role in connecting individuals and businesses across the country, vying for market share alongside competitors like Zain Iraq and Asiacell. The company offers a range of services including voice, data, and mobile money solutions, contributing to Iraq's growing digital landscape. While specific coverage details may vary, Korek strives to provide reliable network access throughout a large portion of Iraq, particularly in major cities and populated areas.

As part of Iraq's mobile telecommunications sector, Korek Telecom is subject to regulatory oversight by the Iraqi government concerning licensing, spectrum allocation, and consumer protection. The MCC 418 identifies Iraq within the global mobile network system, while the MNC 40 specifically designates Korek. The presence and ongoing operation of networks such as Korek is vital within Iraq itself, as the telecoms sector is a foundation for economic growth, providing vital infrastructure and connectivity to it’s populace, and also acting as a fundamental communication tool, helping to provide services within the country, and connecting it with the wider surrounding regions, and the entire world, through phone calls and mobile data. Like many mobile providers, Korek has invested in recent years in 3G, 4G and even 5G capabilities, helping to improve the speed and reliability of the local data service.
