Description

Golan Telecom Ltd. is a mobile network operator in Israel, identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 425 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 08. Operating within the Asia & Middle East region, Golan Telecom has played a significant role in shaping the Israeli mobile market since its inception. The network aimed to shake up the established order, traditionally dominated by Cellcom, Partner Communications (Orange Israel), and Pelephone, by offering competitive pricing plans.

Golan Telecom's entry into the market brought increased competition and ultimately benefitted consumers with lower prices and innovative service packages, leading other major players to adapt their own pricing strategies. Although it isn't a first-generation network, its impact on the availability of cost-effective mobile services across Israel is notable. The network infrastructure supports a range of wireless communication technologies, providing coverage to a significant portion of the population. While details of specific technology generations might be evolving (3G, 4G/LTE, and the ongoing rollout of 5G), Golan Telecom's presence ensures a dynamic and competitive landscape within Israel's telecommunications sector.
