About TCI (GSM WLL

TCI (Telecommunication Company of Iran), operating under the brand names of both TCI (GSM & WLL) and Rightel, stands as a significant player in Iran's mobile network landscape. Serving a substantial portion of the population across the country in Asia & Middle East, TCI utilizes Mobile Country Code (MCC) 432, which identifies Iran, coupled with the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 99. Understanding these codes is crucial for identifying networks when roaming or configuring mobile devices. While other mobile operators like Irancell also contribute to Iran’s connectivity, TCI through its GSM, WLL and Rightel brands, contributes heavily to ensuring a broad reach, even in areas where infrastructure development poses challenges. Rightel, in particular, distinguishes itself as the first 3G mobile operator in Iran, a pioneering step that helped to bring faster mobile internet access to Iranian consumers. This launch gave the company and its users an edge, particularly in a market where mobile was increasingly becoming the primary way for people to access the internet. Further development of the network has led to it being more available across the country. Compared to Irancell, which launched later and offered wider coverage faster, Rightel initially focused on more urban areas before expanding. The MCC and MNC help identify Rightel within the Iranian mobile ecosystem and are crucial for international roaming agreements and network troubleshooting.
