Identified by its Mobile Country Code (MCC) of 440 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) of 20, SoftBank provides a wide range of mobile services, including cellular voice, data, and internet access. As one of the "big three" mobile carriers in Japan, alongside NTT Docomo and KDDI (au), SoftBank competes fiercely to offer cutting-edge technology and attractive service plans to its subscribers. They were notably an early champion of the iPhone in Japan, helping to popularize smartphones in the country.

SoftBank's network infrastructure covers a significant portion of Japan, providing 4G LTE and increasingly, 5G connectivity. This allows them to serve a large customer base across urban and rural areas. Beyond mobile services, SoftBank Corporation has diversified interests spanning broadband, fixed-line telecommunications, and even ventures into areas like robotics and energy. The company's influence extends beyond Japan through investments and partnerships, solidifying its position as a significant force in the global technology market. Their innovative approach to technology and services has made them a notable contender in the Japanese telecommunications sector, always striving to be ahead of the market.
