Description

iiNet Ltd is an Australian internet service provider (ISP) that also provides mobile services. Based in Perth, Western Australia, iiNet operates across the Oceania region within Australia (MCC 505). While primarily known for its fixed-line broadband and internet services, iiNet also functions as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). An MVNO doesn't own its own radio network infrastructure; instead, it leases capacity from existing mobile network operators like Telstra, Optus, or Vodafone. Specific details regarding iiNet's network partner (the underlying mobile network they utilize) for MNC 22 are valuable for understanding coverage and performance characteristics.

In the Australian telecommunications market, iiNet competes with larger players like Telstra and Optus, and other MVNOs. Understanding iiNet's mobile offerings often involves comparing their plans, pricing, and included features to those offered by these competitors. The choice of underlying network via MNC 22 significantly impacts iiNet's mobile coverage footprint across Australia. Information about the mobile technology generations supported (e.g., 4G, 5G) is vital for potential customers considering their mobile data requirements. The MCC 505 identifies the country as Australia within the global mobile network framework, and by pairing this with the MNC of 22 we can easily and readily identify the iiNet Ltd mobile network throughout the country.
