Description

PLDT, through its mobile arm Smart Communications, offers a diverse range of mobile network services across the Philippines under the brand "Connectivity Unlimited Resources Enterprise (CURE)". Operating within Oceania, specifically the Philippines, it leverages its extensive infrastructure to provide cellular connectivity to millions. As identified within the global system for mobile network identification, PLDT via Smart's CURE network operates under Mobile Country Code (MCC) 515, unique to the Philippines, and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 18. This code combination is crucial for mobile devices to correctly identify and connect to the Smart network.

Compared to other major mobile operators in the Philippines, such as Globe Telecom, Smart has historically been known for its robust network coverage, particularly in urban areas. The "CURE" initiative likely refers to internal projects aimed at further expanding and optimizing its network, especially crucial in a geographically diverse archipelago like the Philippines. While specific details about the "CURE" initiative may be proprietary, it likely involves upgrading network infrastructure, deploying new technologies like 5G, and enhancing overall service quality for subscribers throughout the Philippines.
