Description

2degrees, operating in New Zealand (Oceania) under Mobile Country Code (MCC) 530 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 24, is a popular mobile network provider. Launched in 2009, 2degrees quickly established itself as a competitor to the established players, Vodafone NZ and Spark New Zealand, by focusing on value and challenging the status quo. The company aimed to provide affordable mobile services and introduced innovative data plans that resonated with New Zealand consumers.

The network built its coverage across both North Island and South Island, initially focusing on urban areas before expanding into more rural regions. 2degrees offers a comprehensive range of services including prepaid and postpaid mobile plans, mobile broadband, and business solutions. They have invested significantly in their network infrastructure, including 4G and 5G technology, to compete effectively with Vodafone NZ (MCC 530, MNC 02) and Spark NZ (MCC 530, MNC 01) and provide reliable connectivity to their customers. They have also formed strategic partnerships to improve services, notably with satellite internet providers to address connectivity limitations in particularly remote locations.
