Description

CVMóvel, S.A. (CVMOVEL) is the primary mobile network operator in Cape Verde, playing a significant role in connecting the islands of this vibrant African nation. As the first cellular provider in the country, CVMOVEL holds a unique position in the telecommunications landscape. They use the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 625, which identifies Cape Verde, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 01 to specifically pinpoint their network within the country. CVMOVEL provides mobile services to a large portion of the population, with an important history of making an initial footprint, and keeping up with network improvements.

Serving a nation of nearly 600,000 people spread across ten volcanic islands, CVMOVEL faces the unique challenge of providing connectivity across a dispersed archipelago. While other mobile operators exist in Cape Verde, CVMOVEL, thanks to it's tenure, often boasts solid coverage, particularly in populated areas and tourist hubs. As mobile technology evolves, it's anticipated CVMOVEL will continue to adapt and expand its services to meet the demands of an increasingly connected Cape Verdean society, and in general, it aims to be a driving force behind digital inclusion within Cape Verde.
