Description

Telesom is a leading mobile network operator in Somalia, providing a range of telecommunication services across the country. Operating under Mobile Country Code (MCC) 637 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 01, Telesom plays a vital role in connecting communities throughout Somalia, a nation strategically located in the Horn of Africa. Beyond traditional voice and SMS services, Telesom has been instrumental in pioneering mobile money solutions, most notably Zaad service, which has significantly improved financial inclusion and revolutionized how Somalis conduct daily transactions. This innovative approach distinguishes Telesom and has solidified its position as a key player in Somalia's evolving technological landscape.

Compared to other mobile network operators in Somalia, Telesom is known for its broad network coverage and commitment to providing affordable access to its services. While competition exists from the likes of Hormuud Telecom, Telesom's unique blend of technological innovation, particularly in mobile money, and its focus on community engagement has built a strong and loyal customer base. Telesom's impact extends beyond just personal communication, supporting businesses and playing a critical role in the country's overall economic development by facilitating trade and enabling access to vital information.
