Description

Orange (Botswana) Pty Limited, operating as Orange Botswana, is a leading mobile network provider in Botswana. As part of the broader Orange S.A. telecommunications group, Orange Botswana offers a range of mobile services, including voice, data, and mobile financial services, connecting communities across the nation. To uniquely identify Orange Botswana within the global mobile network ecosystem, it's assigned the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 652, specific to Botswana, and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 02. This combination allows mobile devices to automatically connect to the Orange Botswana network when in the country.

Botswana's mobile market is competitive, with Orange Botswana vying for market share alongside other players like Mascom (owned by MTN Group), who were the initial mobile operator in Botswana. Orange has made significant investments in its network infrastructure, including expanding 4G LTE coverage, to improve connectivity and data speeds for its subscribers. This focus on infrastructure is crucial in a country with a diverse geography and dispersed population. In addition to traditional mobile services, Orange Botswana actively participates in community development initiatives, further solidifying its position as a key player in Botswana's economic and social landscape.
