Description

Telefónica Móviles Argentina S.A., operating under the brand Movistar, is a major player in Argentina's mobile telecommunications landscape. As a subsidiary of the Spanish telecommunications giant Telefónica, Movistar provides a wide range of services, including mobile voice, data, and internet access, to millions of Argentinians. Within the complex system of global mobile network identification, Movistar Argentina is identified by its Mobile Country Code (MCC) 722, representing Argentina, and its Mobile Network Code (MNC) 10. This unique combination ensures their network is correctly identified by mobile devices operating within and roaming onto their network throughout the country.

Argentina's vibrant mobile market sees several leading providers vying for customers, and Movistar is often compared with competitors such as Personal (Telecom Argentina) and Claro (América Móvil). The network has invested considerably in expanding its 4G LTE coverage across Argentina, and it is also embarking on the journey to implement 5G technologies within South & Central America as it continues to enhance its network infrastructure. As mobile technology evolves, telecommunication companies in Argentina, including Movistar, play a crucial role in connecting individuals, businesses, and communities throughout the nation.
