Description

Telefónica Móviles Argentina S.A., operating under the brand name Movistar, is a major mobile network operator in Argentina, a prominent nation within South & Central America. With a substantial subscriber base, Movistar provides a range of telecommunications services, including mobile voice, data, and internet access leveraging both 4G and increasingly, 5G technologies in urban areas. The network plays a vital role in connecting individuals and businesses across the vast Argentinian landscape, contributing significantly to the nation’s digital infrastructure.

Identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 722 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 70, Movistar's presence is easily trackable within the global mobile network ecosystem. This MCC/MNC combination is crucial for mobile devices to correctly identify and connect to the Movistar network while roaming or operating within Argentina. Compared to other significant Argentinian mobile carriers like Personal and Claro, Movistar holds a competitive position, often engaging in promotions and infrastructure investments to maintain and expand its market share and offer advanced features to its customers.
