Description

Telefônica Brasil S.A., operating under the commercial name Vivo, is a major mobile network operator in Brazil. As a leading telecommunications provider in South & Central America's largest country, Vivo plays a significant role in connecting millions of Brazilians. Its network spans across vast urban and rural areas, offering a range of mobile services including voice, data, and mobile broadband. Designated with the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 724 for Brazil and the Mobile Network Code (MNC) 11, Vivo is easily identifiable within the global mobile network ecosystem, crucial for roaming agreements and network identification purposes. Vivo constantly innovates and invests in it’s core network, to stay ahead in a competitive market.

Vivo competes with other major players such as Claro and TIM Brasil in the Brazilian mobile market. The company has expanded its services beyond traditional mobile communication, offering digital services such as entertainment platforms and cloud solutions. It’s worth noting Vivo have made major investments in 4G and 5G infrastructure to expand into major cities, to allow for low latency and high speeds for its customers, across the entire country of Brazil. As Brazil continues to embrace digital transformation, Vivo positions itself as a key enabler. The quality of Vivo’s mobile coverage often is a hot topic, as Brazil has a very diverse geographical ecosystem, some areas can prove challenging for radio signal propagation.
