Description

Thuraya RMSS Network, operating worldwide, provides mobile satellite services, offering connectivity in areas where traditional terrestrial mobile networks are unavailable. Utilizing satellite technology, Thuraya caters to maritime, energy, government, and media sectors, as well as individual users seeking reliable communication solutions in remote regions. As a global provider, Thuraya doesn't fall under conventional country-specific mobile network operations like GSM networks within a single nation, rather it broadcasts to the globe.

The Thuraya network is identified by the Mobile Country Code (MCC) 901 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 05. The MCC 901 designates it as an international network, highlighting its operation beyond national borders. Unlike networks tied to a specific country like Vodafone in the UK (MCC 234, MNC 15), Thuraya's global focus impacts everything from pricing structures to regulatory oversight. Similar to other satellite operators such as Inmarsat (though Inmarsat usually works with local providers), Thuraya offers a unique approach to connectivity for users and machines around the world.
