Description

Belgacom ICS SA BICS, operating worldwide with Mobile Country Code (MCC) 901 and Mobile Network Code (MNC) 58, plays a significant role in international telecommunications. While the MCC may seem unusual, as Belgium is typically associated with MCC 206, Belgacom ICS SA BICS functions as a global service provider, offering connectivity and communication solutions to businesses and other telecom operators across various countries. This differs from traditional mobile networks that provide direct services to consumers within a specific nation like Proximus, also a major Belgian operator, but focuses on the behind-the-scenes infrastructure that enables global communication, such as SMS hubbing, roaming services and connectivity for IoT devices.

Think of Belgacom ICS SA BICS as a vital artery in the global telecoms network. They essentially provide the plumbing for international mobile communication. Their services allow mobile networks in different countries to seamlessly interconnect, enabling things like international SMS messaging, international roaming when you travel, and the increasingly crucial connectivity required for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. While you might not directly subscribe to their services as an end-user, their infrastructure supports many of the mobile experiences you rely on daily, acting as a wholesale provider enabling communication on a global scale. Unlike typical mobile networks serving individual consumers, BICS supports a larger ecosystem of mobile operators and enterprises.
