Description

MessageBird B.V. operates as a global cloud communications platform, providing a suite of APIs and services aimed at simplifying and enhancing communication between businesses and their customers. Operating worldwide, MessageBird doesn't conform to a traditional geographic mobile network model tied to a single country. Instead, it uses its global infrastructure to deliver SMS, voice, and other messaging channels. It essentially acts as an aggregator, connecting businesses to mobile networks around the world, including through agreements with those networks utilizing specific Mobile Country Codes (MCC) and Mobile Network Codes (MNC) – effectively acting as a bridge between other companies and mobile networks. Although MessageBird resells services from Mobile Networks, MessageBird B.V. also owns its own Mobile Network with the MCC 901 and the MNC 59.

While MessageBird doesn't directly compete with national mobile network operators that offer consumer cellular service (like, for example, Vodafone or T-Mobile in specific countries), its services are critical for businesses needing to send out mass communication, verify user identities, or integrate communication channels into their own applications. The company's strength is in offering a unified platform and global reach, enabling businesses anywhere to communicate with an end user in almost any country. Their business model is focused on providing developers tools and API, to be able to build bespoke solutions within a business, and MessageBird B.V. continues to expand its offering in the CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) worldwide.
